Nordic Congress on Cardiovascular
Prevention and Rehabilitation
June 12th - 14th, 2008
Hämeenlinna, Finland
Welcome to the most informal Nordic cardiovascular meeting!
Nordic Congress on Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation will take place June 12th to 14th, 2008 in Hämeenlinna, Finland. We heartily welcome participants from all five Nordic countries, Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Finland and also from Baltic countries Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania!
The programme is carefully planned to suit to the needs of the skilled staff in the cardio-vascular field: nurses, dieticians, physiotherapeutists as well as physicians (GP's and specialist or specializing doctors). Many new studies have been finished since we met 2005 in Tönsberg, Norway. We encourage you to send abstracts describing practical so-lutions in your work or results of your studies. It is always interesting to hear news from the neighbouring countries!
Two main themes of the meeting are prevention and rehabilitation of heart patients. Also new aspects of the cardio-metabolic field will be discussed on cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, dyslipidaemia, hypertension, nurse-led rehabilitation and erectile dysfunction. We organizers are sure the congress will become a place of lively discussion with col-leagues.
Hämeenlinna is a summer town with beautiful forests, lakes and historical monuments. It is easy to reach from the Finnish coast (1 hour from Helsinki-Vantaa airport or Helsinki harbour and about 1½ hours from Turku). We are happy to see you here in Southern Finland in the summer 2008!
